Unearthing Atlantis

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be an archaeologist, now you can find out by exploring Long Island Aquarium’s newest exhibit – Unearthing Atlantis, unveiled in summer 2007.

Unearthing Atlantis offers visitors of all ages hands-on exploration of the techniques used by modern archaeologists. Set within a commerce building recently uncovered from the Lost City, it lets visitors participate in an archaeological dig by making wall rubbings, uncovering ancient bones and digging for fossils.

Visitors can also explore an abandoned dig tunnel, decipher the ancient Atlantean alphabet, and more.

The next time you’re craving interactive adventure, discover the wonders that await you at Unearthing Atlantis.
