At the Long Island Aquarium, interactive adventure is part of the fun! That’s especially true at our Touch Tank. Most of all, it gives children – and anyone young at heart – the chance to have a hands-on encounter with some of our residents, including sea stars, clams, whelks, hermit crabs, and horseshoe crabs.

The horseshoe crab is a living fossil. It has remained unchanged for 200 million years!
